He will lunge and try to bite when you walk by.  He steps up on a stick to move  around.  He is a very serious bird but he does have a great laugh and a fabulous opera singing voice.

   Both Koa and Bob step up, however, they do require time and a nice routine so they can get to know you.  They are flighty but under the right circumstances and for the right family they will be a perfect duo.

They are very entertaining to watch as they go about their day.

These guys are very good friends and should not be separated.

 He is mostly a perch potato but does like she’s exploring. Not a huge fan of stepping up from the cage, but will accept scritches, and will step up if he’s not on the cage. Eats really well and loves to shower with a mist bottle.  He is quite loud, which is something to take into consideration if one is considering adopting.

Watson does love a good scritch on the head on his own terms.  He's independent and prefers not to step up.  He likes to explore his surroundings, squawk, chew and play with toys.  He will land on your shoulder sometimes, but his preference is just to be around the action and not IN the action.   He is flighted and trust can definitely be earned with him, but you do need to have patience and practice proper positive interactions with him.

I'm a small cockatoo w/ 1 toe nail. I can be friendly with a lot of people but careful attention needs to be paid to read my body language.  Sometimes when I feel sassy I will scream, and sometimes if I'm not in the mood, I will bite.  I am full of energy, I like to dance and say hi to almost everyone.  I cannot be let out of my cage without supervision as i get into EVERYTHING.

Bailey is an acquired taste.  She likes her people and even then she can have temper tantrums.  She gives subtle cues as to when she's upset and if you don't catch on, you run the risk of getting bit.  She LOVES to dance and bounce up and down.  Only folks with cockatoo experience should apply.  She is soooooo lovely to those she chooses.

Trixie is a nice little conure that's had a bit of a tough go.  She is a chronic feather plucker and has damaged almost all her follicles where she plucks, resulting in permanent feather loss.  

She is nervous and will fly away from you for quite some time as she warms up.  She would do well with a single female that has lots of love to give to a little nekkid bird.

  Nervous but sweet, she has the capability of building strong bonds with people she trusts.  If feathers are not important but personality is, then she might make the perfect addition to your family.  She loves to rehearse her vocabulary which primarily consists of different fruits and veggies and our daily greeting of  "good morning"

She is  a transfer from another agency and was part of a group of 8.  She is quite nice, steps up and accepts head scritches.  Would do well in a home with adults with or without older children.  Likes to rub her face on and chew fabric.  Will hide in your shirt if you let her.

NAME: Belle

SPECIES: African Red Bellied Parrot

SEX: Female

She likes to be busy and we think she’d do best in a home with multiple people to spend time and interact with. 

She free flies (INDOORS) and knows her way around very well (INDOORS)! She likes to play on the stairway to the basement by running along the edge and playing with things that are put there for her. She absolutely loves helping with laundry and hides in the clothes as they get folded... playing hide & seek. She can do that for a couple hours if we let her! 

She likes to bathe in her water bowl. 

She has to supervise, from the top of the fridge, any food preparation. 

She’s chatty, says “hi” very sweetly. And some other words, “peek-a-boo”,“stop!”, “how are you?”, and others. Some things she does when she’s mad is to loudly protest with “agghhh!”

She growls like the dogs, meows like a cat, says “yum-yum-yum?” when she’s gets fed. 

 She has picked up a cough does her former owners laugh! Occasionally she will surprise us with a word or phrase we didn’t realize she picked up. 

She is a wonderful companion and in her case will enjoy car rides and even walks in her backpack. 

 She loves toilet paper rolls and will work the cardboard tube out then undo the roll from the inside. This can keep her very busy! 

The only time she is caged is when we must go out, when it’s nap time, and bedtime. She sleeps with a light cover over her cage for a minimum of 10 hours. She will make a quiet beeping sound when she’s ready to come out. More persistent and louder if you take too long!

Louise is an old breeder bird who is not tame.  She is very scared of people and would do well with an older male caique or with someone who understands that she is very scared and won't warm up.  Louise is loud, has a good appetite and loves to play and shred her toys.  She does require beak maintenance about every 3 months as her lower right mandible overgrows.

  Judging by how grandpa looks, it appears he's either been in a few accidents, or fights with other birds.  He arrived with beak damage, a broken toe, and scruffy blackened feathers.  He's molting out some of those old ugly feathers and pretty new ones are coming in.  He's shy, nervous, NOT tame and would do best in a calm household without children.  He does have a friend named Freddie who he met here and is also available to adopt.  He probably wouldn't mind staying with him however, Freddie is more of a handful.

 I am a beautiful white silkie rooster that has a strong drive to protect his flock.  He is an indoor chicken accustomed to wearing chicken diapers.  He does challenge people and he likes to hop and jump kick, at your legs sometimes.  It doesn't hurt if you are wearing pants or boots.   (Stock image, not actually T2)

NAME: Tequila

  Recovered from a yeast and bacterial infection.  Suffered from a very large and very deep self inflicted wound above his preen gland and that has fully healed as well.   He was completely plucked from the neck to his tail and has since grown back most of his feathers.  

Tequila is shy but has the potential to open up whole heartedly to the right person. 

He is prone to yeast infections, it's recommended that he stay away from a high fruit diet and stick to a more vegetable oriented diet.   

Tequila has a lot to say and would fit in very well with a patient family with no children under 13 years old.
